How we handle authorship

Two rules run our editorial process. Anything technical gets reviewed by an engineer before it ships, and anything with a number in it - a rate, an estimate, a project budget - comes from a delivered project or is marked as a range, never invented to fill a table. When an author reviewed a piece instead of writing it, the byline says so.
